I add my AMEN to everything John wrote here. Reading this book confirmed that it was not only OK to study these things, but that we should seek them and expect to receive them. Following the Light of Christ into His Presence – before I read this book, I wondered if there was anyone else out there seeking the greatest, but often least spoken of, blessings of the Gospel. The spirit touched me so profoundly I have honestly never been the same since. It was like a cup that never emptied and I couldn’t drink enough of it. Visions of Glory – when I first read this, it felt like air to my spiritual lungs. As such, I add my 3 life-changing books to the list as well: I am forever grateful that John wrote, that I read, and then acted. I am so grateful he had the courage to share with us his gifted pen the experiences that changed his life. Like so many of you, Brother John forever changed my life. Thank you to all of those who submitted a recommendation. I'm open to hear of the books that you like, something about them, and why you love them.In my last post, I asked the Friends Of the Unblog Family to share 2-3 books that changed your life. Artemis thinks hes got them just where he wants them, but then

These arent the fairies of bedtime stories. What hes taken on when he kidnaps a fairy, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Of James Bond and the attitude of Attila the Hun. A Description supplied from Amazon reads:Īrtemis Fowl combines the astuteness of Sherlock Holmes with the sang-froid I'm well in my 30's and I think that they are great. If you like books such as: The Huger Games, Twilight, Fablehaven, Harry Potter or Percy Jackson: you will love the Artemis Fowl books.

That is not to mention a number of other great books Eoin Colfer has written. It truly amazes me how much information is available on any subject we can think of and beyond just by the tap of a few keys. After I got to that point in the story, I had to get the book from the library. That night I looked up Artemis Fowl : The Atlantis Complex on the google books tab and was amazed that I was able to read the first 30 or so pages of the book. I was sceptical about bringing one home just for the fact that I was a bit hazy on the story line of the previous book, so I didn't. It just so happened that I was picking up a book for my 11 year old son ( The Hunger Games - also a great series) when I came upon two of The newer Artemis Fowl books I haven't read. There has been at least two years since I read any of his books. The author is quite descriptive in laying out a story. So, I checked them out one after another. I don't like people telling me what I can and cannot do. The librarian actually tried to deter me from reading them because they were written for 5th graders in mind. Years ago I began reading the Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer. I recommend this book to anyone looking for inspiration toward the future. I am not one to stand on a soap box an preach repentance, but I am one that tries to do my best to be of service to others when I see it. I am not perfect, far from it, but I don't have to be to help others in any way possible. It has opened my eyes to the possibilities of the future and my potential to be an instrument in the hands of God for the benefit of my fellow brothers and sisters in the world. I for one have been blessed to have read this book. The sole purpose is to share and bless the lives of those who read this book. The writer of this book informs the reader at the beginning of the book that it is not the intent of swaying people to follow someone or tell them to do anything. This resulted in being able to have many more visions and visitations. Also, he claims that through his near death experiences the veil between this life and the next became thin. He claims to have died a number of times and returned back to his body to tell the tale. It tells the story, as told to the writer, of the happenings of an unnamed individual of events that transpired in his life. The book is called Visions of Glory by John Pontius. I currently was introduced to an awe inspiring book a while ago.
